Zion National Park, and the many regions immediately surrounding Zion Park, are all natural wonders. What is best described as naked geology attracts nearly three million visitors per year to the 147,000-acre park each year. Long ago under a shallow sea, then a river delta and finally an inland lake bed, the present canyon was formed by four distinct geological processes over eons that are clearly visible throughout the canyon.
