Regardless of where you start your Zion National Park vacation, you'll find an exciting scenic route to the park when you follow one of these sample Zion Park maps and itineraries. In fact, we recommend that, when possible, choose different routes for your travel to and from Zion National Park. Each of these travel routes has its own unique combination of stunning scenery, unique attractions and history to keep you entertained, and to make your trip more memorable.

This is a very specific, and useful, map of Zion National Park.

ORANGE - Salt Lake City, UT to Zion National Park (351 miles)
This is a very direct route that originates in Salt Lake City before heading south on Interstate 1-15 through destinations including Provo, Cedar City and St. George before arriving to Springdale, UT and Zion's main (south) entrance. Side trips to other natural wonders in Utah en route to Zion are encouraged!

RED - Los Angeles, CA to Zion National Park (via Las Vegas) (455 miles)
This route originates in one of California's major destinations/cities, Los Angeles, before traveling through Las Vegas, NV and continuing to Utah's Zion National Park. Major attractions along the way include The Strip in Vegas, as well as the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.

GREEN - Phoenix, AZ, to Zion National Park (via Grand Canyon + Page/Lake Powell) (750 miles)
This route originates in Phoenix, AZ and continues through beautiful Scottsdale to Sedona to Flagstaff to Grand Canyon South Rim to Page, AZ, to Kanab, to Springdale (Zion National Park). This is a scenic itinerary that includes many other major natural attractions en route to Zion National Park.

PURPLE - Denver to Zion National Park (888 miles)
Denver to Zion National Park (via Million Dollar Highway, Mesa Verde NP, Monument Valley, Page/Lake Powell to Zion National Park)
This is a scenic road trip for sure… it starts in Denver, travels to Montrose (near Black Canyon National Park), south on the "Million Dollar Highway" to Durango, then to Mesa Verde NP, to Monticello, UT to Monument Valley, to Page/Lake Powell, then to Zion National Park (at Springdale). If you like roadtrips and stunning scenery, this may be your route.

YELLOW - Amarillo, TX, to Zion National Park (918 miles)
Amarillo, TX, to Zion National Park (via New Mexico's main destinations, "4 corners", Monument Valley, Page/Lake Powell, to Zion NP/Springdale.
This is a major route from the South, originating in Amarillo, TX, before traveling north through New Mexico's two main destinations, Albuquerque and Santa Fe, Teec Nos Pos (the famed "four corners"), Monument Valley, Page/Lake Powell, to Zion NP/Springdale. This route covers some terrific scenery and attractions.
